I Enjoy learning more about show handling and the breeding of this wonderful breed!
I am still amazed how many colours and characters there are, from very shy to a very dominant Collie.
But they all have such great temperament!
I mostly appreciate people - breeders whom are willing to learn other people about breeding, showing and just being honest about everything that’s involving Collies or other breeds.
It is so important that people know what to do, then that they have to find it out on their own and making huge mistakes.
That’s why I’m very thankfull to the van Randen family from the Fen Coloney kennel.
They gave me a chance and a lot of usefull information about Collies and handling.
It’s not that easy as it looks, esspecially because I’m a nerve tendon in the showring.
Showing with their young pup was an honour for me. And Sven was an easy dog to work with.
He still recognises me, even after 6 months!
It’s nice to work with two such different Collies.
At shows I also always enjoy all the stands with all kinds of dog toys or clothing with your favourate breed on it.
I already have a small collection of Collie figurines & stickers.
With ofcourse some showreports from all the previous shows, it’s nice to read them again.
Although I really loved to show Zoya, I decided not to show Zoya anymore. She is now more then 5 years old and although she made excellent results, it’s for the best to quit. She’s not really enjoying it anymore.
And I am going to be very busy the next 2 years also, so I wouldn’t be able to train her regulairy.
Her last show was in Amsterdam, which we’ve never been to before. It was a wonderful day for a last show!
That’s it for now...
You can always send your story or maybe a question to me and I will always answer...
Thanks for visiting!
